Dear Meno Memo community,
As we head into the holiday season, I wanted to pause and reflect on what an incredible year this has been—and thank you for being part of it.
What You've Shared This Year
When I started the Meno Memo, I hoped to create a space where women navigating menopause could feel less alone. What I didn't expect was the depth of conversation and community that would emerge.
Your stories—about workplace invisibility, misdiagnosed anxiety, relationship challenges, and rebuilding confidence—have been the heart of everything we've explored together. Your replies, your vulnerability, and your willingness to share your experiences have shaped every piece I've written. You've reminded me why this work matters so deeply.
Beyond the newsletter, this year has brought speaking engagements, community workshops, and connections with women across New Zealand. It's been a privilege to meet many of you and to be part of your menopause journeys.
A Season of Rest
As we move into the holiday break, I want to encourage you to do something radical: rest. Not because you need to "fix" anything, but because you deserve it. Take time with people you love. Step away from productivity. Let yourself simply be.
I'll be closing the clinic from December 22 and taking a genuine break until January 5. During that time, I won't be checking emails—but I'll be back, refreshed and ready to continue supporting you.
What's Coming in 2026
I have some exciting news about new ways to connect and support each other that I'll be sharing in January. For now, I just want you to know that this community matters, and I'm committed to deepening it.
Thank you for letting me be part of your story. Wishing you a peaceful, restorative holiday season filled with rest, connection, and joy.
With gratitude,
Dr. Erika
P.S.
If you haven't replied to one of our newsletters yet but want to, I'd love to hear from you in 2026. Your stories matter. 💙
