If you’re navigating perimenopause or menopause, disrupted sleep can feel like an unavoidable part of life.
😴Sleep is one of the essential foundations of our health and quality of life. Without good quality sleep we lose energy, motivation, memory and may feel anxious or depressed.
Between 40 and 60 percent of women experience poor sleep during the menopause transition.
🥵There is research evidence that the interaction of hormonal changes, vasomotor symptoms (hot flushes, night sweats) and mood changes can all affect sleep during menopause. This is a current area of emerging medical research.
💡Tip: Apart from hormone therapy, acupuncture has been shown to be useful in reducing vasomotor symptoms and improving sleep in menopause.
😩What is the one thing you are struggling with most with your sleep? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

PS: “For many women who have been caring for and putting others first, midlife is the time when there’s finally space to start thinking about you. You may feel compelled to make room for you, to live with greater purpose, or to answer the call to do something big in the world. It’s during this time that we can begin to define what legacy we want to leave.” — Terri Hanson
